Who we are

Garden Design App (gardendesignapp.ai) is run by Urban Bloom Gardening, a London gardening business. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. For anything in this policy, email hello@gardendesignapp.ai.

What we collect

• Your email address and name, when you create an account.
• The garden photos you upload, and the design images we create from them.
• The answers and preferences you give us about your garden.
• A record of what you have bought. Payments are handled by a payment provider and we never see or store your card number.
• Whether you have unsubscribed from our emails.

How we use it

We use your photos and answers to create your garden designs, which includes processing them with the AI technology that produces the designs. We use your email address to run your account, deliver what you have bought and send you our emails. We also use garden photos and the designs generated from them to promote the app, as set out below. We never sell your personal data. We do share the fact that a sign up or a purchase happened with Google Ads, so we can tell which adverts work; that measurement carries no name, no email address and no photograph.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we use to run the app: hosting and site analytics, sign in, data and image storage, payments, the AI design technology, email delivery, and advertising measurement. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that is the case, the transfer is protected by legally recognised safeguards.

Marketing and your garden

We use garden photographs and the designs generated from them to promote the Services, including on our website and on social media. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interests in marketing our business. We do not publish your name, address or any information identifying you or the property. You may object at any time by emailing hello@gardendesignapp.ai.

The emails we send

We send service emails, such as receipts and your planting plans, and occasional emails about getting the most from the app. Every email that is not essential has an unsubscribe link, and we honour it immediately.

How long we keep things, and deleting them

• We keep your gardens and designs while your account is active, so you can come back to them.
• You can delete any garden from your dashboard at any time, which permanently removes its photos, designs and records.
• To delete your whole account and everything in it, email hello@gardendesignapp.ai and we will erase it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict what we do with it. Email hello@gardendesignapp.ai and we will sort it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to take payment at checkout. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking, which sets its own cookies, so we can tell whether an advert led to a sign up or a purchase. A small cookie records where you arrived from, for the same reason, and lasts six months. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to build advertising profiles of you.

Children

The app is designed for adults and is not directed at children.
