Who you are dealing with

Garden Design App (gardendesignapp.ai) is run by Urban Bloom Gardening, a London gardening business. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. Contact for anything here: hello@gardendesignapp.ai.

What the service is

You upload a photo of your garden, tell us about the space and what you like, and the app designs a new version of it, shown as a photorealistic image of your actual garden. You can also buy a planting plan for a design: a document that names every plant in it, where each one goes and how big it grows. The free tier includes a set number of designs each day, with no card required; free designs carry a small watermark and are for personal, non-commercial use. Paid plans set their own limits, image quality and usage terms.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must give us a real email address, because that is where your designs and plans go. The free daily allowance is per person, not per account.

Your photos and your content

You retain ownership of all photographs, images and other materials you upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content you grant Garden Design App a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish, distribute and display the User Content, and any designs, plans and derivative works generated from it, for the purposes of operating, improving and promoting the Services, including in marketing and promotional materials and on third-party platforms. We will not publish your name, address or any information identifying you or the location of the property. This licence continues until withdrawn by written notice to hello@gardendesignapp.ai.

  • Only upload photos you have the right to use, which in practice means photos of your own garden or a garden you look after with the owner's blessing.
  • The designs and plans we create for you are yours to use for your own garden, to share, and to build from. Please do not resell them as your own design service.

Fair use

Do not use the app to upload anything unlawful or abusive, try to break or overload it, scrape it, or resell access to it. We can suspend accounts that do.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown on the site and at checkout, in pounds sterling, before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment provider and your card statement may show Urban Bloom Gardening. Subscription prices can change, but never during a billing period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a renewal costs more.

Cancelling and refunds

  • A pass is a one-off payment for a fixed number of days: nothing recurs, so there is nothing to cancel. If you ever hold a legacy subscription, you can cancel it any time from your account and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Designs and planting plans are digital content delivered immediately. By purchasing, you agree we supply them straight away, and you acknowledge that once delivery has started you lose the usual 14 day cancellation right for digital content. This is why purchases are not refundable once your design or plan has been delivered.
  • If something goes wrong on our side, for example you pay for a plan and never receive it, email us and we will put it right. None of this affects your statutory rights.

What our designs and plans are

  • Your design images are realistic visualisations of how your garden could look, usually shown in summer, at the planting's best. They are a design, not a photograph of a guaranteed outcome.
  • Every plant in a plant palette or planting plan is a real variety, chosen for the light and conditions your photo and answers describe. Where you have measured your beds, the quantities are our designer's best fit for your space; a whole-garden design's document names and places its plants without stating counts.
  • Plant availability at nurseries changes with the seasons, and living things do their own thing. How a garden establishes depends on soil, weather, aftercare and time.
  • A design from a photo is not a land survey. For built structures, levels or drainage, use a professional on site.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms.

Ending things

You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we will tell you why if we do.

Changes and the law

If we make a meaningful change to these terms we will update this page and the date at the top, and flag it to you if it affects something you have paid for. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protections and courts of your home nation.

Read alongside our privacy policy, which covers what happens to your data.
